Discover Luxor: A Day Trip from Safaga Port

Experience the Magic of Luxor

If your cruise stops at Safaga port for a day, you have a wonderful opportunity to explore Egyptian life and visit Luxor. Known as the greatest open-air museum in the world, Luxor is the oldest and most ancient Egyptian site, offering a journey through time like no other.

A Child’s Wonder: Growing Up Near Luxor Temple

Since childhood, I have lived close to Luxor Temple. I often visited these great monuments, marveling at how our ancestors managed to build and carve over a thousand reliefs. I was fascinated by the stories behind each carving and the reasons they were created.

The Splendor of Thebes: East and West Banks

The river Nile divides Luxor, historically known as Thebes, into the East and West Banks. The East Bank is where the sun god rose from Karnak Temple, symbolizing life and rebirth. The West Bank, where the sun sets, is home to the tombs and funerary temples, representing the journey into the afterlife.
