Our adventure begins in Luxor at the awe-inspiring Karnak Temple, one of the world’s largest religious complexes. Spanning over 200 acres, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a powerful connection to ancient African history, with its towering columns, intricate hieroglyphics, and sacred lakes.

Next, we visit the Luxor Temple, a stunning monument dedicated to the god Amun. Here, the illuminated walls tell the stories of pharaohs and divine kingship, celebrating African heritage and strength.

After a day of exploration, retire to your hotel in Luxor, reflecting on the rich history and empowerment we’ve encountered, embracing the legacies of Black and LGBTQ+ communities throughout time.

02 Valley of the Kings & The Legacy of Queen Hatshepsut
  • Morning exploration of the Valley of the Kings: Walk among the tombs of legendary pharaohs and feel the spiritual weight of these sacred resting places.

  • Visit Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple: Dive deep into the story of Egypt’s most powerful female pharaoh—celebrated for her leadership, vision, and divine legacy.

  • Colossi of Memnon stop for photos & storytelling.

  • Evening Nile-side dinner with Nubian music or storytelling from local women’s cooperative.

03 Road to Edfu & Kom Ombo – Temples of Protection, Power & Healing
  • Depart Luxor by private, air-conditioned vehicle. Your guides will share stories, music, and reflection prompts on the drive.

  • Stop at Edfu Temple, dedicated to Horus. Explore themes of strength, protection, and spiritual vision.

  • Continue to Kom Ombo Temple—a dual temple honoring Sobek (crocodile god) and Horus.

    Reflect on duality, balance, and ancestral protection as a Black or queer traveler.

  • Arrive in Aswan by evening and check in to a Nubian-owned guesthouse or hotel with views of the Nile.

  • Dinner with Nubian cuisine and stories of the Nubian people's resilience and Black identity in Egypt.

04 Deep Aswan – The Sacred Feminine & Nubian Cultural Roots
  • Morning visit to Philae Temple, dedicated to goddess Isis—matriarch of ancient mythology, divine mother, and healer.

    Optional: short meditation or journaling session on spiritual motherhood, transformation, and legacy.

  • Visit to the Unfinished Obelisk and Nubian Museum—highlighting the region’s deep Black African heritage and cultural contributions.

  • Lunch in a Nubian village with local women—hear their stories, enjoy homemade dishes, and shop from women-led artisan co-ops.

  • Evening rest or optional Nubian dance session with live drum circle. (Safe and affirming space for all gender expressions.)

05 Abu Simbel Pilgrimage – Monumental Black Power
  • Early morning departure to Abu Simbel (private car/van, approx. 3 hours).

  • Visit the colossal temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari—a testament to devotion, power, and ancestral engineering.
